Perbicaraan kes liwat (yang dibuat-buat) dah bermula!

oh yaaaa... saya sangat berminat! bukan sebab isu itu, tapi saya nak kaji kes ini dan tuduhan kes liwat tahun 1998. persamaan, perbezaan, penipuan, dan segala-galanya. saya ingin mengkaji kes ini dari sudut pandang kedua-dua belah pihak.

maka ini bermakna saya tak boleh berat sebelah, kena bersikap neutral dalam kajian.

tapi saya memang pun dah berat sebelah. camne ni? haih..

takpe, kajian mesti diteruskan.. dan saya akan pastikan modul sejarah diperbaharui, dan bahan penting dimasukkan. fakta yang dimasukkan dalam buku menghidupkan kesedaran.

sejarah sepatutnya begitu. menimbulkan minat dan cinta pada agama dalam mempertahankan negara. menghidupkan rasa penghargaan buat mereka yang terlibat dalam sesuatu kejayaan. menjadikan tokoh itu sebagai idola dengan mengikuti jejak langkah mereka.

bukannya belajar sejarah kerana peperiksaan. heh.

sistem pembelajaran yang menumpukan kepada peperiksaan semata-mata seharusnya dipinda!

did you know that : today, 12th December, exactly 49 years ago there was a riot in Singapore?

yes, the riot is to show that the Muslims can't stand the injustice of the the English Court. they were outraged by the court decision, which is Natrah is to be put under her biological Dutch Catholic parents custody, without acknowledging that Natrah now is Mansor Adabi's wife and she willingly accepted Islam as her faith.

My sincere and honest praise goes to : Karim Ghani, Dr Burhanuddin Helmy, Taha Kalu and all warriors. They've done a real good job which is to spread and instill 'semangat cintakan Islam & tanah air' amongst Malayan & Singaporean through words. ow man, i adore them!

it's so true that words are mightier than the swords.

i'd like to share the strategy that Karim Ghani has ployed :

During the court proceeding, they were two types of police sent to safeguard the place. The Malays and the Gurkhas police. Karim Ghani prepared a letter (or newspaper) for the Malay police urging them to NOT to interfere nor disperse the crowd, by playing with Malay sentiment in his letter.

And so as you have guessed, the crowd rushed to the court, and attack any European they saw. The Malay police did nothing but giving way to the rioters. as situation became wild, the Gurkha's police is then called to join in the Malays contingent. the riots continued for another day before the situation can be controlled.

It was reported 18 people was killed and 180 was hurt during the riots. The rioters went to Masjid Sultan located in Arab Street to seek for a hiding place. Mansor Adabi was instructed to stay in the mosque for two days for his safety.

I'm glad i did visit this mosque when i went to Singapore 2 weeks ago. I prayed Maghrib and Isya' there, and later ate dinner at Zamzam Restaurant right across the road infront of the mosque. The nearest MRT station to this place is Bugis Station.

by the look of the mosque, i just know something important must've taken place there.

and it really had.

May Allah reward all the people who's doing their best to help His deen.. ameen ya Rabb..

i've just finished reading Natrah -Cinta, Rusuhan & Air Mata by fatini Yaacob. the autobiography is awesome! all i could say is, if i were to find someone, Mansor Adabi will be it :) the real heart-wrenching story gives so much meaning to me. Natrah & the whole Malaya-Spore nations was forced to abide by the man-made rule, which is only based on what they think should be rather than what the religion said. thus, the law was so injust. The law ordered Natrah to be put under her parents care, and nullify her marriage to Mansor Adabi as well as terminate Che Aminah's 'service' as foster mother. how cruel!

reading the book gives me a wider perspective on this issue. little did i know about :

1. Natrah's adoption by Che Aminah.

According to Che Aminah, Adeline and her mother, Nor Louise begged her to take one of her kids, because their life was hard, and she couldn't afford to raise her 5 kids. Adeline willingly given Bertha, whose name was later changed to Nadra. She has no objection for Che Aminah to raised Bertha as a Muslim as she too was raised in a Muslim culture (Nor Louise was married to Indonesian raden Ismail after she divorced Adeline's Dutch father).

However, in an opposite statement made by Adeline, she said she was giving Bertha to be taken care of "for 3-4 days only". Adeline seek for Bertha after 4 days, but on her way to Che Aminah's place, she was taken by the Japanese and get imprisoned.

Adeline's statement was awkward, because Che Aminah was working in the Japanese Army office back then (Che Aminah was fluent in Japanese language, she used to live in Japan for a few years before). Che Aminah must have known if Adeline was imprisoned, and she would do something to release Adeline as she has a close relationship with Adeline's family.

2. Natrah's parents are not that keen to take her back

It is believed that there are third parties involved in taking Natrah back to her home country. Her parents didn't want her that much as they had 6 other kids to raised and they're poor, living a hard life in Berg Op Zoom in Holland. The third party is believed to be Missionary group and goverment bodies.

3. The Dutch was in deep shame

The strongest reason for the Dutch to do whatever is takes to bring this small girl back is due to it's defeat in Indonesia. Before Indonesia get it's independence from Dutch, Japan has defeated the Dutch in conquering Indonesia and ruled Indonesia for a few years. The Dutch was in great misery for being defeated twice. thus, it is very important for them to win this case to 'tebus maruah'.

sunday morning is one of the best time on Earth. i could listen to Kuliah Subuh aired from the Grand Blue Mosque, without the need to get out of bed. however the negative effect is, i forgot half of the content right after my eyes popped opened when the first ray of light reach my window. haihh..

anyhow, "less is more". the gist of last week's kuliah (or was it the week before?) was :

never live the day without having "what good will i do today?" in your mind

so peeps, let us try to make our life worthy by reminding ourselves to do good every now and then. there are soooo many things that can be counted as hasanah. a smile is one of it =)

I had a strange dream last night. In the dream, I went to a friend’s house, where the house has so many windows. I don’t really remember what happens, but she told me there’s a female ghost outside, together with it’s child. Whoa.. that’s scary. I peeked through one of the window, and I could see the child ghost. His flesh is half burnt, and I couldn’t even see his face. I wonder how the mother ghost might looks like. The friend told me that the ghost has been watching me all this while, and told me what she heard from the ghost, the ghost is listing down what I did before I reach that home. Oh my God.That sends shiver to my spine. The friend then added, “she’ll keep following you after this…”. Hwaaaaa…! Please don’t!

After I woke up, I tried to figure out whether this lady ghost is still around and watching over me. And I came to this conclusion. No matter what I did, I will always be watched. If it’s not by human or jinn, then I will, and always be under Allah’s surveillance. This remind me of a song of my favourite band, Outlandish.

Even when you’re alone,
He’s closer than veins on your neck..

I found Nur Kasih as one great drama, full of meaning and lessons. And the most important is, there are so far no controversial Islamic issues.

I can see that there has been an air of changes in portraying the true Islamic teachings in local dramas and movies. It’s an improvement.

For those who haven’t watch this movie, feel free to watch it. I was skeptical at first, thinking that this might be just another ‘Islamic’ drama. Boy, how wrong was i.

This is one of the best part.

Lessons that can be learnt are:

1. Undeniably, canning is permissible in Islam. Little did we know that canning is the last option, when slow talk failed to teach lessons to the kids.

2. All kids are different from one another. Thus different approach needed in dealing with each of them. I remember Dato’ Fadhilah Kamsah once said, “Puas sudah kita mencuba untuk membuka pintu, tapi masih tak dapat dibuka. Rupa-rupanya tersalah kunci. Tiada guna membuka pintu dengan kunci yang salah, kerana akhirnya kunci akan patah, dan pintu tak dapat dibuka”

3. As a child, we must always be an optimist, patient, and forgiving. Some bad things the parents did to us are sometimes incidental. They always wants to give the best to us, and they want to see us succeed. But they too, like us, make mistakes. They too, are in the process of learning. "To forgive is to forget"

saya tak sangka drama Nur Kasih adalah sehebat ini.

hebat kerana ia berjaya menyentuh hati saya. lakonan pelakonnya yang mengesankan, dengan seni sinematografi yang tak kurang mantapnya, serta skripnya yang ringkas namun padat dengan maksud yang mendalam.

saya teringat semasa belajar hadis di sekolah menengah, ustaz pernah menyebut, kata-kata nabi selalunya ringkas, namun padat. hadis yang paling panjang dalam Matan Arbain (Hadis 40) pun hanya sepanjang satu setengah muka surat.

mengapa? kerana kata-kata yang ringkas itu yang membuatkan kita akan ingat dan fikir. kata-kata yang terlalu panjang, membuatkan orang bosan untuk mendengar dan mungkin akan lupa saja. bak kata pepatah, "masuk telinga kanan, keluar telinga kiri".

ada hikmahnya kita disuruh untuk "falyaqul khaitan, au liyasmut"( berkata yang baik, atau diam). kerana kata-kata yang tak bermaksud dan tak bertujuan akan menjadi seperti sampah yang bertebaran. dikutip bukan untuk disimpan, tapi untuk dibuang. atau lebih malang, langsung tidak disentuh.

Kini sudah fasa ketiga terakhir Ramadhan! lebih baik atau lebih buruk dari semalam?

Prophet Yusuf

I do love stories from the Holy Book, especially stories of the prophets because it's far much better than reading any fairy tales or aesop fables, for these are real life stories and full of lessons.

I remember listening to a series of lecture on Surah Yusuf, there was like 7 or 8 of them, but i could only remember i listened to 1 and a half of the series. aih~ nevertheless, the lecture did touched my heart and i feel like sharing it here, even not much.

Surah Yusuf is the 12th surah or chapter in the Qur'an. It's special because there's no other surah tells a single story in one particular surah, which is the life of Prophet Yusuf a.s, just as the surah's name goes.

Prophet Yusuf a.s is claimed to be the most beautiful person on Earth. His beauty is like half the beauty of the Earth. If you think Leo DiCaprio, Fahrin Ahmad or any guys of your interest is the most handsome guy on Earth, think back. Their name and handsomeness is never mentioned in the Holy Book, but Prophet Yusuf is. i can't imagine how 'hot' Prophet Yusuf is. Subhanallah.

And so, i'd like to take a few points from the surah to share the lesson learnt behind it.

# 1: KEEP YOUR GOOD NEWS/FORTUNE TO YOURSELVES AND THE MOST TRUSTED ONES

[12.4] (Remember) when Yûsuf (Joseph) said to his father: "O my father! Verily, I saw (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating themselves to me." ayah

[12:5] He (the father) said: "O my son! Relate not your vision to your brothers, lest they arrange a plot against you. Verily! Shaitân (Satan) is to man an open enemy!

Prophet Yusuf came up to his father and share of his dream: 11 stars, the sun and the moon bowing down to him. Prophet Yaakub a.s knew this as a good dream, and it means this son of his is going to be a ruler one day. The eleven stars represent Yusuf's brothers, the sun and the moon represent his parents. Prophet Yaakub a.s then advised his son not to mention this dream to his brothers, for the father knew his other children are not in a good term with Yusuf, and so telling a good news to the haters will incite even morehatred in their heart. And shaytaan will make the situation even worse.

I remember a story i read from forwarded email:

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold; the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ATE him!

Moral of the story:
when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!

When you're in the most extreme situation, be it happy or sad, it's best to keep quiet and share with your trusted ones only. The ones whom you know they're always there to stand up for you and be by your side through hell or high water.

So don't let the whole world hear your fortune. You never know who will take advantage on you and plot something to bring you down.

Another day to live, Alhamdulillah.

Yesterday, I broke my fast at a friend’s house. Her family is a cheerful one, love to hear them klaka Sarawak. She cooked so many dishes last night, some of them are Mee Jawa (very much like Mee Hailam, only that the gravy is a bit thicker), Cendol (cendol here use white sugar instead of gula Melaka), bubur pedas (this is not a rice porridge. It’s more like kuah kari sayur-sayuran, they use lots of rempah), kuih muih ( I ate Kuih Perahu, very much like tepung pelita, only that they use Gula Nipah instead of Gula Melaka. I’m still figuring out their differences). We stop for a while for Maghrib, and later continue with nasi!

Here in Sarawak, they have this special rice called Beras Bario. Quite expensive, RM 10 for 1 kg. It’s much more expensive than Beras Taj Mahal. Beras Bario is very much like beras pulut, but it’s not sticky. The taste is so good, like the rice is being cooked with santan or fresh milk. Yummy~

And I can’t wait for my kek lapis choc cheese…!

I’ve started to make more friends here. And so I think Bintulu is great ;)

Much has been said about Michael Jackson’s death. Some said it’s due to the Diprivan, or a killing sleeping pill that he requested a few days before his death. Some says he’s too stressed out due to his huge debt. Only Allah knows the real cause of MJ’s death.

Apart from reporting about the cause of his death, the media is now keep on updating about his burial. Will it be in Neverland? Or in his hometown somewhere in Chicago. Anyhow, the most interesting news is his brother, Jermaine Jackson tells the reporter MJ's to be buried in Muslim tradition. MJ embraced Islam in November 2008.

i'm listening intently to Dr Fadhilah Kamsah's lecture "How to Make People Fall In Love With You". mind you, l.o.v.e is subjective. a few of his advices that i would try to keep in mind:

1. cleanse my heart. a pure heart is like a magnet, it can attract people to you, without you having to give a hard effort to please them. have a clean heart!

2. improve my manner/akhlaq. treat people accordingly. dont be good to some, and rude to some others. be nice to everyone around you. EVERYONE.

3. have a strong relationship with the Almighty. everything works because of His will. if we didn't get close to the ultimate source of love and happiness, how can we get one?

4. keep praying, and put some good effort, and keep on trying.

5. have a pleasant 'external' presentation.

crude:an interesting fact

hi peeps.Today I went to Petronas Penapisan Melaka (PPM). Learn a lot about their complicated plant. Of all the plants that i've visited, PPM is so far having the most beautiful and scenic landscape, huge open space, or they say 'saujana mata memandang'. Really a breathtaking view. Fuh~

This plant refine 'sour crude' that is imported from Mid East, particularly Saudi and Iran. it's called 'Sour' because the oil contains sulphur, carbon dioxide and any other sour gas. sour crude is believed to be 'troublesome'. The refining process is a bit complex, and it took longer procedure and steps.

It's different than the crude that we have here in offshore Terengganu. the crude there is called as 'sweet crude' as it doesnt contain much sulphur. in other words, it's of a good quality, easy to be refined. a good one lah, easy to handle.

hurm...

amazing how the crude(read:oil) can determine its people!

i can't help but agree on this findings. listening intently on some boring or hard stuffs is torturous. one will start to daydreaming and flew away to some other place where nothing matters. thus, in order to try to make listening more interesting, we will start to doodle. ow yea, my notes back in college, is as messy as you can imagine :D

lately i've been posting advertisement on job vacancy at my workplace. never thought i could get this much application sent to my inbox (considering that i'm a new employee, getting more than 10 is a lot). hurm, how time has changed. half a year ago, i am the one chasing the recruiter, ~~merayu~~ sending my resume here and there, getting news from jobstreet, and etcetera. today, i'm on the other side of the road.

so today, i wanted to talk about applying for job. specifically, emailing your resume. i'm not a recruiter anyway. but having to see (and read) some of the resume emailed to me, i'm dissatisfied with some of it. not that i want to belittling anyone, but here are some of my opinion, my own opinion and tips for the first timer on sending your job application.

1. Address people accordingly. from the email address, we could guess the receiver is a male or female. i'm quite suprised with a few applicant addressed me as 'Sir' ! if you're not sure of the receiver's gender, you might as well put it as "Dear Sir/Madam".

2. Cover letter. A cover letter is very important. it's an introduction to your resume. introduce yourself,explain why you're emailing, highlight the important notes and achievement in your life and studies. make it brief, but interesting.

3. Send your resume in standard file format, eg. word or pdf. don't send it in zipped file, you're not sending that much files. or even in .dat file. what application should i use to open it? even if the resume is saved in word file, make sure it's of the widely used version. Microsoft 2007 haven't been used by every company, some are still using the old an unfashionable Microsoft 2003. my advice is, it's better and safer and easier to have your resume sent in a PDF file.

4. Email title. use a suitable email title for your application, like "Job Application for The Post xxxx". one email that i get put the title as "Job vacancy at xxx". err, are u advertising a job or what?

5. Filename. i understand that we would (most definitely) alter our resume for hundreds of times. but make sure the one that u' re sending out to recruiter, is the nicely-named one. not "resume Mary latest latest.exe" or "xjjhhhyuefhhhhkppoasdwhatever Resume.exe". it shows that you're not that serious in applying. if you can't make a resume like a pro, it's ok. make it sound (and looks) like you're a pro.

6. Finally, have someone checked it for you before you shoot an email to the recruiter. we as human being tend to overlook our own mistakes, and so we need others to point it out to us.

To summarize it all, the easiest way to make people comfortable with your personality is letting go of your ego. The lower your ego is, the more sincere friends you are going to have. Always push the ‘pause’ button to ‘think’ before we do or say anything. It’s a reminder for you and me. Mitch Albom’s book never fails me, not even once. Tuesday With Morrie is a thoughtful true story. A professor named Morrie, is a down-to-earth man, someone who couldn’t care less about the fake life that’s being advertised hugely around him. He had his own philosophy on life, which is love is essential. Basically he did things that he love, meeting with people, engaged in discussions, danced, and he thought sociology at Brandeis University. Morrie had one favorite student, and it’s Mitch Albom himself. Mitch took Morrie’s course almost every semester. They used to have a discussion everywhere, in Morris’s office, at the cafeteria, and even during a walk at the park. After finishing his degree, Mitch left school and began exploring the real world. He started making money by writing sport news. He’s too engulfed with his world until he totally forgot to keep to his promise, which is to keep in touch with his former professor, of whom he fondly called Coach.

The idea to reunite back with Morrie came one night, when he flicked through the channels to get some information for his next article. He stopped at “Nightline”, and he heard the name “Morrie Shwartz”. He was stunned as the Nightline crew was interviewing Morrie, who is now seventy, and is suffering from amyotropic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Knowing that his dear professor is dying, he quickly took a flight to West Newton, Massachusetts to visit Morrie.

Delighted to see his fomer student, Morrie decided to start a class with Mitch every Tuesday, as they always had a class on Tuesday back in college. And so Mitch went to and fro West Newton every Tuesday, for a class with neither a note, a textbook nor a whiteboard. The subject is solely on life, and how Morrie lives through it. Morrie is sickening every time they met, and after fourteen Tuesdays, he finally said his final goodbye. It was devastating to lose someone who is so very loving in every other way, but to both Mitch and Morrie, it was delightful as they get to spend their times together at the final days. Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student : Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.
Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student : And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student : No sir. There isn't. (The lecture theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?
Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?
Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where theargument is going.)
Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavour, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?
(The class is in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain? (The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it?....No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)
Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student : That is it sir.. The link between man & god is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

(Forbidden) also is to make decisions with Al-Azlam (arrows) (all) that is Fisq (disobedience and sin). This day, those who disbelieved have given up all hope of your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But as for him who is forced by severe hunger, with no inclination to sin (such can eat these above mentioned animals), then surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.)

politik.. hmm.. beberapa tahun yang lalu, saya menentang keras politik. pada saya, politik itu kotor, tak kira di pihak mana anda berada.kedua-duanya sama, tidak ada yang berbeda. teori konspirasi itu wujud di mana-mana, dan ianya menyesakkan fikiran saya. namun, fikiran cetek dulu akhirnya kian menjadi dalam, setelah melakukan analisis peribadi dan berfikir.

sampai bila harus kita bersikap acuh tak acuh terhadap peristiwa yang berlaku di persekitaran. ya, Palestine, Iraq, Afghan perlu diambil peduli. begitu juga Malaysia. mereka di sana kekurangan dari segi wang, rakyat Malaysia kekurangan ilmu tentang warna warni politik negara.

Dan sesungguhnya Kami jadikan untuk neraka Jahanam banyak dari jin dan manusia yang mempunyai hati (tetapi) tidak mahu memahami dengannya dan yang mempunyai mata (tetapi) tidak mahu melihat dengannya dan yang mempunyai telinga (tetapi) tidak mahu mendengar dengannya; mereka itu seperti binatang ternak, bahkan mereka lebih sesat lagi; mereka itulah orang-orang yang lalai.
